Robert "Robby" Bruce Lynch, Ii

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Bruce Lynch II, known to all as Robby, on March 23, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on November 10, 1960, in Darlington County, South Carolina, Robby was a man who lived life to the fullest, with a heart as big as his passions.

Robby worked as a welder at Superior Machine before most recently being employed by Ard Trucking. He was known for his skill and dedication in every role he took on. But beyond his career, Robby was a devoted fan of the Carolina Panthers, NASCAR racing, and the South Carolina Gamecocks, rarely missing a chance to cheer on his teams. His love for sports was only rivaled by his love for adventure. Robby enjoyed riding his motorcycle, working on his car, and spending time fishing and boating.

A sociable man with a contagious smile, Robby cherished his friendships and loved spending time with those he cared about. He was always ready with a story and could often be found sitting down with his son, Bruce, sharing tales after coming off the road. Those who knew Robby will remember his generous heart, his warmth, and his ability to make any gathering feel like home.

Robby had a special bond with his dog, Zeus, and the two were inseparable. Whether cheering at a game, sharing stories over a meal, or enjoying a quiet moment with Zeus by his side, Robby's zest for life left an indelible mark on those who knew him.

Robby is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Bruce Lynch I and Marjorie Sansbury, and his stepfather, Lonnie Sansbury. He leaves behind his son, Robert Bruce Lynch III ("Bruce"), his sisters, Susan (Frank) Holmes and Peggy Howle, and many friends and family who will forever cherish his memory.

A private service for family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Darlington Humane Society and can be mailed to 580 E. Washington St., Hartsville, SC 29550 or to Cornerstone Baptist Church, 2930 Masters Way-Darlington, SC 29532 in his honor.
