Robbie G. Purvis

SOCIETY HILL - Robbie G. Purvis, age 55, passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2015. Funeral service will be held 2:00pm Saturday, January 2nd at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, directed by Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Born June 2, 1960 in Chesterfield County, Robbie is the son of the late Jake Purvis, and the late Mary Johnson Purvis. He worked as a welder and a construction worker. He also enjoyed NASCAR and spending time with his son. Surviving are his son, Michael Purvis of Society Hill; his siblings, Bobby (Carol) Purvis, Joel (Judy) Purvis, Patricia (Eddie) Coleman, Bogan (Francis) Parker, Virginia (Johnny) Hicks, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Friday, January 1st at Belk Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Virginia Hicks, 7292 Hwy 52S Society Hill.
