Robbie Earl Benson

Robert "Robbie" Earl Benson, age 47, passed away Friday, February 3, 2017. A memorial service will be held 2:00pm Wednesday, February 8th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service. Born November 29, 1969 in Silsbee, Texas, Robbie is the son of Debbie Thomas Benson, and the late James Earl Benson. He served in the U.S. Navy, and then worked in construction for many years. While living in Florida, Robbie enjoyed working on electronics. Surviving in addition to his mother, Debbie Thomas Benson, is his son, Thomas Seth Benson of Loris, SC; his brothers, Ricky (Michelle) Benson of Timmonsville, James Collier, and Ronald Collier; his sisters, Shelly Burns and Angie Collier; his step-mother, Peggy Benson, all of Texas, and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday at the home of Ricky and Michelle Benson, 1325 Holly Hill Rd. Timmonsville, SC 29161.
