Richard L. Pratt

Richard Lee Pratt, 59, passed peacefully at home Saturday, September 28, 2024 with his wife of 26 years by his side after a long battle with throat cancer.

Richard was born February 17, 1965 in Chesterfield County. He was a very hard worker who enjoyed working as a pipe fitter and in construction. He was truly a cowboy at heart who had a love for animals, especially his horses and chickens. On the weekends he could be found looking around at the local flea markets.

He leaves behind his wife, Sherry Bryant Pratt of the home. A daughter Samantha (Eric) Melton of Hartsville; a son Tristan (Audrey) Pratt of Hartsville; 5 grandchildren with one on the way. Two sisters, Rachel (Dan) Winburn; Melissa (Tom) Hendrix and a brother Ronnie Pratt all of Hartsville, along with several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Kay and Wesley Pratt and a brother, John Pratt.
