Richard Franklin Lambert, Sr., age 79 passed away Saturday, July 09, 2016. A graveside service will be held 4:00pm Monday, July 11th at Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Born November 27, 1936, Richard is the son of the late Harry Lee Lambert and Addie Mae Flowers Lambert. Richard served in the Army National Guard for many years. He also drove trucks for Central and Akers Motor Lines, and then for worked for Manheim for twelve years. Richard loved any type of NASCAR and was the founding member of The Windy Hill Fire Department. He was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Darlington.
Surviving are his wife, Yvonne Oliver Lambert; his daughter, Teresa L. (Ron) Lee, and his son, Richie (Mar-C) Lambert; his grandchildren, Ryan Lee and Gracie Lambert; and his brother, Harry (Anne) Lambert, all of Darlington.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Hodge; his brother, Toby Lambert; and his sister, Barbara Ann Hunt.
