Rhonda Kay Humphries

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rhonda Kay Humphries, 48, of Hartsville, South Carolina, who departed this life on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, surrounded by family and friends.  She was born on November 19, 1976, to the late Ronald Boykin Humphries and late Blostine Hall Humphries. Rhonda was a loving mother, devoted wife, and cherished friend to many.

Rhonda was known for her unwavering compassion and dedication to her community. She enjoyed volunteering with the Lamar Rescue Squad, where her commitment to helping others shone brightly. Rhonda also served with pride at Palmetto Rural Transport and lent her caring touch to in-home healthcare, embodying the essence of service that defined her life.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed the company of friends. She is survived by her husband, Rogelio Salas.  Her daughters: Halie (Tariak Green) Humphries of Hartsville and Iliana Cruz-Pacheco of Hartsville: her sons, Alex Salas of Hartsville and Ron (Geana) Humphries of Spartanburg, her brother, Tommy Humphries of Sumter: her Uncle Butch and Aunt Sherry Humphries of Lamar, grandchildren Neveah Humphries and Finley Sloan.  Also including many nieces and nephews. Along with her beloved German Shepard's-Zeus & Xena. Rhonda's warmth, kindness, and vivacious spirit will forever be deeply missed.  Preceding her in death are her aunts Cathy and Patricia and her grandparents Dot and Pat Humphries.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Rhonda's life during a visitation at Belk Funeral Home Chapel in Lamar on the evening of Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 6:00 PM. to 8:00 PM.  A funeral service will be held in her honor on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Belk Funeral Home Lamar Chapel at 1:00 PM, with internment immediately following at Lamar Memorial Cemetery. In this time of mourning, let us remember the love and joy Rhonda brought to our lives—her legacy of compassion and service will continue to inspire all who knew her.
