Randy Strickland

Joseph Randall "Randy" Strickland passed away on June 26, 2025. A memorial service to honor his life will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 1:30 on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:30 and other times at 1709 Tapper Drive.

Randy was born in Florence, SC, son of the late Rev. Major Glen Strickland and the late Margaret Keefe Strickland.  Mr. Strickland worked most of his life as a welder, working for Modern Maintenance, PPM and Johnson Controls over the years. He had a love for classic rock, and was often listening to Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and Jackson Browne. Randy also enjoyed camping.

He was married to the late Mickie Pye Strickland. He is survived by his son Caleb (Samantha) Strickland, his daughter, Rebecca (Kevin DuRant) Strickland, four grandchildren: Tristan, Walter, Brennan and Elizabeth; his sister, Glenda Jones, nephew, Justin Jones and a great-nephews (whom Randy adored) "Little Tommy" and Ryan.
