Randy D. Hopkins

Leslie Deran Hopkins (Randy), age 56, of Darlington, passed away on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Randy was born on December 22, 1968 in Darlington County. He was a hard worker and put a lot of pride into what he did. He spent his whole life painting cars until he was unable to anymore. For years, people would say Daddy was the best around. Daddy liked to be at home and was proud of his family's land. He loved Nascar, "The Young and the Restless", and the Washington Redskins. He would get mad if anyone called them the Commanders. He was loud and outspoken but that's what we loved best about him. He is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Hopkins, mother Diane Scurry, sister Chasity Scurry, grandparents Helen and Wylie Hopkins, and Lula Mae and Vander Evans. He is survived by his daughter Kasey Anderson (John), son Codi Hopkins, brother Wayne Hopkins (Tina), sister Sherry Humphries, stepbrother Brad Scurry (Heather) grandchildren Trenton and Avery Anderson, special cousins Lacey Oliphant and Bobby Kennedy, lifetime friend and mother of his children, Kim Hopkins (Ole Lady), as well as extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

A graveside service will be held at 4:00 on Saturday, we will be at Belk Funeral Home prior to the service, from 3:00 until 3:45 for his visitation on Saturday, and other times at Kasey's house, 1620 Rogers Rd in Darlington.
