Randy Jay Brown

Darlington - Randy Jay Brown, Sr., age 66, passed away Monday, January 15, 2018. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18th at Temple Free Will Baptist Church, with burial following in Darlington Memory Gardens, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born May 10, 1951, Randy is the son of the late J.D. Brown and Lillian "Bill" Player Brown. He retired from Galey and Lord after 37 years. He enjoyed NASCAR, USC football, riding around on his Carolina Gamecock golf cart, fishing, and he loved spending time with his family. Randy was a member of Temple Free Will Baptist Church in Darlington. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Darlene Flowers Brown; his sons, Jay Brown and Chris Brown, both of Darlington; his grandchildren, Xzavia Brown and Rhumer Brown; one great-grandchild, Kingston Johnson; his sister, Janice B. Suggs of Hartsville; his brother, Jimmy Brown of Kingstree; and his canine companions Gracie and Prince. He was preceded in death by an infant brother. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Belk Funeral Home.
