Preston Lane

Karl Preston Lane, age 61 passed away Friday, May 14, 2021. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 18th at Lake Swamp Baptist Church, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church.

Born on August 21, 1959, Preston was the son of the late Lowell Lane and Mary Taylor Lane. Karl worked in welding and was employed at G.E. for 13 years and for Industrial Machine and Fabrication for 30 years. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, and was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Pamela Stephens Lane; two children, Lee Lane and Kevin Lane, both of Lamar; granddaughter, Hannah Oliver; brothers, Michael Lane, Charles (Marcene) Lane and Marcus (Candy) Lane.
