Phyllis B. Rostron, age 69, died Monday, September 4, 2017 in Asheville, NC. A Celebration of her Life will be held at 2:00 on Friday, September 8, at Northwood Worship Center, 1100 East McIver Rd., Darlington, directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born in Darlington on June 19, 1948, she is the daughter of Carolyn White and the late Alton Thompson, Sr. Phyllis moved to Asheville, NC in 2004, living in Darlington until then. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family. In addition to her mother of Darlington, she is survived by her husband, Frank Rostron of Asheville, her children: Durwood (Lisa) Barber, Sr. of Darlington, Michael Dean (Lisa) Barber of Darlington, Susan Barber (Steven) Hackett of Columbia; grandchildren: Durwood Barber, Jr., Alexandra Barber, Jacob Barber and Matthew Barber, and a brother, Alton (Emma) Thompson, Jr.
