Peter Andrews

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Peter Andrews, age 66, of Darlington. A memorial service to honor his life will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 11:00 am on Friday, March 14, 2025. The family will receive friends following the service.

Mr. Andrews was born in Providence, Rhode Island on February 24, 1959, son of the late Daniel and Georgianna King Andrews. He retired from law enforcement as a federal police officer for the Department of Defense. Peter and his wife moved to the Mechanicsville community in 2019. Peter was known for his love for people, A trait that was apparent through his zeal for cooking for and entertaining family and friends. He also enjoyed going to the shooting range and talking politics on his way to becoming a 'good ole boy. Peter was a devoted family man,  and loved ALL of his family tremendously. He was a member of the Golden Rule Home Church.

He is survived by his wife, Terese "Tess" Moss Andrews, children: Daniel Andrews, Shannon Andrews, Sheree Andrews, Ashley Andrews, Shaunna (Fred) Smith; his siblings:, Sandra Chamblee, Dana Andrews, Mike Andrews, Lisa Andrews, Sherry Andrews, Amanda (Charlie) Pontes, June (Dan) Crosby; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including a special great-grand, Addie, whom he loved and adored, numerous beloved nieces and nephews and many beloved cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
