Penny (Weinberg) Neal

Jon Renee "Penny" Neal, age 70, passed away on Sunday, October 23, 2022. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 3:00pm until 4:00pm in Central Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held following the visitation in Central Baptist Church. The family will also receive friends at 100 Ingram Court in Darlington on Tuesday and Wednesday from the times of 3:00pm until 6:00pm.

Penny was born in Florence, SC on August 28, 1952. She is the daughter of the late Johnnie Collins and Cecil Weinberg. Penny was a waitress, bartender, and drove a flag car for transportation escorts. Penny had an entrepreneur mindset which led to her owning several businesses, a daycare, liquor store, and a flower shop. She also enjoyed doing crafts and playing golf as a younger lady.  Penny was always willing to give a helping hand whether it be to someone she knew or even a stranger. She had an intense love for all animals.

Penny is survived by her daughters; Michelle (Jeffrey) Taylor, Kelly Reed, Heidi (Lee) Carter, grandchildren: Mark Schaffner, Ryan Schaffner, Gabriel Privett, Ladson Carter, Logan Carter, Noah Williams, Aiden Taylor, Carter Santalla, great-grandchildren; Mason Schaffner, Ryland Schaffner, Ryden Schaffner, nieces and nephews, Trudie Goodson, Spence Coker, Grayson Collins, Destiny McKenzie, Chad Poston, sister, Tammy Peagler, brother, Cal Collins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Weinberg.
