Peggy M. Huggins

Peggy M. Huggins, age 90 died Monday, May 23, 2022. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 25th at Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.

Born in Lake Providence, Louisiana on February 1, 1932, Peggy was the daughter of the late Earl L. Mitchell and Lorraine Lewis Mitchell. She loved shopping and enjoyed crafting and anything with art. Peggy loved singing, listening to old country music, and she loved her family. She was a member of North Hartsville Baptist Church.

Surviving are her daughter, Karla Sullivan (Kurt Harrenstein) of Darlington; son, Mitch (Barbara) Huggins of Darlington; grandchildren, John Eric (Morgan) Sullivan, Bryant (Cortney) Huggins; great-grandchild, Peyton; sister, Pansy (Charles) Shisler; niece, Kim Shisler; and nephew, Mark (Priscilla) Shisler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alton L. Huggins; daughter, Janet Fredrick; granddaughter, Jonna Huggins; and a sister, Donna Pitts.
