Patricia Alice Jackson

Patricia Alice Sullivan Jackson, age 80, died Friday evening, July 28, 2017. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 on Sunday, July 30th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 on Sunday at the funeral home. Born on June 25, 1937 in Lancaster, SC, she was the daughter of the late William Curtis Sullivan and the late Ocie Lee Carnes Sullivan. Patricia started working as a LPN in a nursing home but her love for children drew her to work in childcare. She was affectionately known as "Nana", and loved working with and being around children. She was an active member of Epworth United Methodist Church, where she was involved with visiting shut-in church members, singing in the choir, and helping out in any way she could. She is survived by her children: Mitchell (Penny) Jackson of Florence, Jan (Tim) O'Neal of Darlington and Garry (Pam) Jackson of Hartsville, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; her siblings, Judy (Leon) Stokes of Darlington, Michael (Lori) Sullivan of Florence and Ricky (Ruby) Sullivan of Greenwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Ervin Jackson and her sister, Jackie Combess.
