Opal Langston Shepard of Wilmington died Friday December 21, 2018 at Davis Health Care Center She was born February 20, 1926 in Florence County, S.C. daughter of the late Claude and Georgia Carter Langston and was preceded in death by her husband Francis Shepard, sister, Mary Defree and her brothers, Bill, Chris, Carter, Reuel and Theo. Opal was a member of Ogden Baptist Church. Surviving are her sisters Waylan Langston Parnell and Nellie Langston Kirby of S.C. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Thursday December 27, 2018 at Ogden Baptist Church.A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, December 28, 2018 in Lamar Memorial Cemetery.
