Norman Allen Haynes

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Norman Allen Haynes, who left us on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Raymond Haynes and Claudia Harrison Haynes on February 10, 1955, Norman was a beloved father, brother, and friend to many.

Norman proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1977 to 1991, a chapter in his life that shaped much of his character and values. After his military service, he spent many years working in metal fabrication at Tally Metals, where his skills and dedication were well respected by his colleagues.

Outside of work, Norman had a passion for his gun collection, always taking great pride in maintaining and caring for it. He found peace and joy in the quiet moments spent with his prized possessions, reflecting his meticulous and thoughtful nature.

Norman is survived by his daughter, Ashton Haynes; his sister, Beverly Hier; and his sister-in-law, Kathy Riffe. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Beverly Kirby Haynes.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
