Neil H. Windham

Neil H. Windham, Sr Lamar - Neil H. Windham, Sr, age 81 passed away Monday, April 25, 2016. Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Wednesday, April 27th at Newman Swamp United Methodist Church, with burial following at Windhamtown Cemetery in Lamar directed by Belk Funeral Home. Born January 16, 1935, Neil is the son of the late Ruth Howell and Ervin Windham. He was a graduate of Lamar High School and sang in the high school choir; and then served in the United States Air Force. He worked in sales at Wicks Building Supply, a dispatcher for several trucking companies, a sales manager for Electrolux, and worked for Brown's RV until he retired on his 80th birthday. Neil was a member of Newman Swamp United Methodist Church in Lamar. He was very active in his church including singing in the church choir. Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Windham of Lamar; his children, Brenda (Mike) Lee, Celeste Shady (Jack) Naus, both of Darlington, Ervin (Alicia) Windham of Florence, and his daughter-in-law, Terie D. Windham of Lamar; his grandchildren, Tamika Hill, Ragan (Chris) Weathers, Stephanie (Sidney) Galloway, Neil H. "Trey" (Brandi) Windham, III, Abbey (Allen) Baker, Cole (Jana) Naus, Nicole (Stephen) Miller, Luke Windham, and many great-grandchildren; his brother, Hillery (Ann) Windham; and his sister, Nellie (Bill) Amerson. He was preceded in death by his son, Neil H. Windham, Jr.; his brothers, Franklin, Clay, Troy, and Baites Windham; and his sister, Ruth Ann LeBase. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, April 26th at Belk Funeral Home Lamar chapel, and other times at the home of Terie Windham, 955 Windhamtown Rd. Lamar, SC 29069.
