Nancy (Alder) Flannigan

Nancy Alder Flannigan Duncan, age 71, died Sunday March 1, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 Wednesday, March 4th , in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 4:00 Wednesday at the funeral home and other times at the home, 307 Spears Street, Darlington.

Nancy was born in Grand Rapids, MI on October 19, 1948, daughter of the late Louis "Rocky" Alder and the late Dorothy Daniels Martin. She previously worked as a nurse, and liked to sew and tend to her flower beds.  She was a member of the Darlington Moose Lodge, and enjoyed times spent there with friends.

She is survived by her husband, James Duncan, her children, Vickie Lantz, Saundra (Nathan) Carroway and Barbie Duncan (Keith Mahar), grandchildren: Shane (Courtney) O'Neal, Justin Manson, Savannah (T.J.) Kemmerlin, Deanna Garris, Christopher Garris, Jr., and seven great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings, Pat (Judy) Alder, Sally Jablonski, Ethel Joslin, Connie Sorrow, Louis Alder and Casey Alder.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Dean Michael Lantz, a sister, Debbie Edgerton and a brother, Mike Alder.
