Michael David Mcmillen

Michael David McMillen, age 54 died suddenly on Saturday, February 20, 2021. A private memorial service will be held on a later date. Belk Funeral Home of Lamar is assisting the family during this time.

Born on March 3, 1966 in Ogdensburg, New York, Michael was the son of the late Richard "Dick" E. McMillen and Jeanne McMillen. He worked as a dairy farmer for many years and operated MX Breed Dairy in Sumter. Michael enjoyed working with animals and riding his tractor.

Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Shannon Reynolds McMillen; his three, four legged children, Blue Jean, Rebound, and White; sisters, Lynn (Danny) Coleman, Dawn McMillen-Kelley, Tammy (Gary) Boggs; niece, Taylor Boggs; nephews, Brandon Boggs and Spencer Kelley; his brother and sister-in-law, DJ and Brandie Reynolds of Florence; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dathon and Carol Reynolds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a local Humane Society of one's choice.
