Michael Paul Halchak

Michael Paul Halchak, age 59, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2022 at McLeod Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home.

Michael was born on January 26, 1963 in Kodiak, Alaska. He was the son of Paul Thomas Halchak (Elaine) and the late Nadine Brown Mahon. Michael worked as an electrician for most of his life, and was considered by many as highly skilled in his trade. He enjoyed nascar, music, reading and spending time outdoors. Mike was a loving father and a devoted friend.

Michael served in the US Navy.

He is survived by his daughter, Kelsi Harper Camak (Matt) grandchildren, Keller Boyd Camak and Cora LeeAnn Camak, sister, Georgeann Gainey of Moncks Corner, brother, Jude Halchak of GA and siblings Tania Mahon Shields, Tommy Mahon, both of Hartsville and Shannon Mahon (Betsy) of Timmonsville, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Joseph Halchak and step-father, Thomas Mahon.
