Mary (Evans) Hodge

Mary Evans Hodge, age 77, passed away at her residence on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 22nd in Calvary Baptist Church from 11:00am until 12:00pm. A memorial service will follow the visitation in the church.

Mary was born in Pageland on June 21, 1946 to the late Rev. Alphues D. Evans and Helen Funderburk Evans. She worked at Wellman as a Lab Tech for many years. Mrs. Hodge was truly a woman of faith and loved her church, being a member at Calvary Baptist Church since 1976. She was also a volunteer for many years at The Lord Cares. Mary loved her family, especially her great-grandbabies and always enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her daughter, Tammy Elaine Northcutt, grandchildren; Rebecca Lynn Winslow, Aaron Gaskins Sikes, great-grandchildren; Aiden Winslow, Tyler Winslow, Samson Edward Sikes, and Syles Arrow Sikes. She is also survived by her sister, Barry Jean Sikes.

In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by an infant son, Baby Boy Hodge and her brother, David Evans.
