Mary Emily Cook departed this life on September 9, 2025, in Florence, South Carolina, at the age of 99. A Funeral service will take place on Friday, September 19th, at 1pm in Florence National Cemetery in Florence, SC.

Born on August 18, 1926, in Cayce, South Carolina, Mary lived a life filled with love.  Mary was the cherished daughter of the late Willie Turkett Johnson and William Sidney Johson.  Mary was the last surviving child of nine.  She worked at department stores throughout her life. Mary met and married the love of her life Joseph Leonard Cook and had seven children together.  She was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, and had a kind and generous heart.  She leaves behind "Bobbi" Grant, Pamela Rabon, Sharon Cook, Ann Cook, Debra Cook, Joseph Cook Jr., and Michael Cook.  Along with her multitude of grands, great grands, and great-great grandchildren. She is survived by her loving family who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and strength.  Preceding her in death are her parents, husband Joseph Cook, and her many siblings.

Mary's journey through life was marked by her unwavering spirit and her commitment to her family, who meant everything to her. She will be remembered for her warmth, her stories, and the laughter she shared with those around her.
