Marilyn Parnell Stewart, beloved sister and friend, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025, at her home in Darlington, South Carolina. Born on September 9, 1947, in Darlington, Marilyn filled the lives of those around her with love and laughter. She will be remembered for her sweet and loving spirit.

Marilyn was a talented musician, celebrated for her passion for playing the piano. She generously shared her musical gifts by performing in local churches for services, weddings, and funerals, spreading joy in the community through her music. Beyond her musical talent, she had a fondness for shopping, especially at Belk, where she enjoyed spending time with friends and family.

She leaves behind her sister, Emily Jeffords; her two great-nieces and nephew whom she loved as her children, Anna Jeffords ( Tichelle “T.G.”), Kayla Jeffords, and Austin Jeffords; as well as her cherished niece, Cathy Jeffords.

Marilyn's life will be honored at a funeral service to be held at Belk Funeral Home on December 10, 2025, at 11:00 am. A visitation will precede the service, beginning at 10:00 am. Following the service, she will be laid to rest in Grove Hill Cemetery beside her husband, Danny.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to all who have shared in Marilyn's life and invite the community to join them in celebrating her remarkable spirit and the joy she brought to all who knew her.

Rest in peace, dear Marilyn. You will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband Danny Stewart and her father, Lorian Parnell; her mother, Thelma Parnell.
