Marilyn Howell Hare

Marilyn Howell Hare, age 72, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2017 peacefully in her sleep at home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Wednesday, August 30th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Indian Branch Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11am-12pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Born September 7, 1944, Marilyn is the daughter of the late Cephas Cole Howell and Clara Bell Hill Howell. She worked for the Darlington County Courthouse and the Kershaw County Medical Center. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother, but her true love was being a Nana to her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was a member of Indian Branch United Methodist Church. Surviving are her husband, William Hare; her children, William B. (Lisa) Mozingo, Jr., Todd Howell (Jennifer) Mozingo, and Mary "Bunny" Mozingo; her grandchildren, Kristen Nicole Mozingo, Chase Cole Mozingo, James Pierce Mozingo, Savannah Hope Mozingo, Benjamin Bryce Mozingo, Jeffery Pierce Kelly, and her great-grandchild, Adalyn Katherine Etta Smith. In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Howell, and her grandson, William Adkins. Family respectfully requests any donations or memorial offerings be made to James McElveen, who is battling cancer and currently in Germany undergoing treatment, 1036 East Home Avenue Hartsville, SC 29550.
