Margaret Atkinson Wester

Margaret Atkinson Wester of Murrells Inlet, SC, age 70, died Monday, October 9, 2017 at her home. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 14 at 10 am at Belk Funeral Home in Darlington. The family will receive friends following the service, and will hold a private burial at Grove Hill Cemetery on a later date. Born July 17, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Arthur E Atkinson and Maude Stokes Atkinson Harrison. Surviving are her daughters, Mary Margaret "Mart" (Mark) Gardner of Florence and Kimberly Rose (Mark) Shaw of Marion, grandsons Collin Gardner and Cam Gardner. Also surviving are her brother Mack (Clara) Atkinson of Hartsville, a sister Beth A (Jimmy) Carroll of Spartanburg, SC and a special niece Linda N. (Greg) Boucher of Athens, GA. She was preceded in death by a sister, Cleo Atkinson Dowdy and two brothers, Ed Atkinson and Billy Atkinson. Maggie loved her job as an administrative assistant to Kenneth Rowland of KM Rowland, LLC in Florence, SC.
