Margaret Louise (Tarlton) Onken

Margaret Louise Tarlton Onken, age 63 died Tuesday, September 21, 2021. A funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Saturday, September 25th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3-4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home and from 5-8pm Friday at the home of Doris Onken, 3826 Pebble Rd. Florence, SC 29501.

Born on August 14, 1958, Margaret was the daughter of the late Theodore "Ted" Tarlton and Ruby Lee McLendon Collins. She worked as the restaurant manager for Palmetto Sub in Darlington, and continued working part-time after partially retiring. Margaret enjoyed watching westerns and the Lifetime Movie Network. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.

Surviving are her four children, Michele (Robert) Scipio, Ellis Williamson, Jamie (Katherine) Onken and Doris (Issa Kalouch) Onken; six grandchildren, Zayne and Elizabeth Williamson, Ty'Yana Scipio, Emilio and Adrianna Viera, and Arya Onken. She is also survived by her siblings, Harry (Marie) Tarlton, William (Alice) Tarlton, Charles Collins, Doug (Marie) Collins, Herman "Sunny" Collins, Tab (Nancy) Tarlton, Bobby (Amy) Tarlton and Jay "Jay-Bird" Tarlton. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Larry, Howard and Wayne Tarlton; and a nephew, Matthew Collins.
