Margaret Mae Grooms Mancill

Margaret Mae Grooms Mancill, age 99, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 28th, 2024.  Visitation will be at Christian Pathway Fellowship at 905 Hibiscus Road in Lamar, SC on Monday, December  30th from 1 to 2 pm.  Funeral services will begin at 2 pm in the church, with burial following in Lamar Cemetery.

Margaret was born March 25th, 1925 to the late W.T. "Tom" Grooms and Elizabeth Rattiff Grooms in Anson County, North Carolina.  She was married to the love of her life Albert Mancill for 39 years until his passing.  Margaret retired from being a Registered Nurse with Griffin Family Practice in Lamar.  She also retired from being a Vocational Director for Florence County Public Schools.  She was a devoted member of Chrisitan Pathway Fellowship of Lamar.   Margaret loved spending time with her family and friends and was always quick to greet everyone with a smile.

Surviving her is her daughter Linda (Charles) Dorriety, daughter-in-law Judy Mancill,  her five grandchildren: Lori (Michael) Corgan, Carla (Sammy) Truett, Rich (Yasmine) Mancill, Stephanie (Dondi) Campbell, and Tony (Kristen) Dorriety; Her nine great grandchildren: Lauren Corgan Freebern, Victoria Corgan, Elisabeth Corgan Delp, Brandi Campbell Dowling, Morgan Campbell Ramsey, Samantha Dorriety, Madison Dorriety, Gracyn Truett, and Sammy Truett;  along with her ten great great grandchildren: Jackson Corgan, Heidi George, Susanna George, Baylor Delp, Marshall Delp, Aubie-Kate Delp, Charlie Dowling, Campbell Dowling, Camlin Ramsey, and Chessley Ramsey.

Preceding her in death are her parents along with her husband Albert Mancill, her son Richard Mancill, sister Myrtle Freeman, her five brothers Vernon L. Grooms, Thomas Grooms, Prentice Grooms, Walter Grooms, and Allen Grooms along with great grand daughter Brittany Allison Corgan.  Memorials can be made to Chrisitan Pathway Fellowship-905 Hibiscus Road, Lamar, SC 29069 in Margaret's honor.
