Margaret Virginia (Flowers) Crowley

Margaret Virginia Flowers Crowley, age 91, passed away on April 26, 2024. A visitation will be held Monday in Belk Funeral Home from the times of 12:00pm until 1:00pm. A private burial will follow.

Born on June 20, 1932, Virginia was the daughter of the late Betty Cassidy Flowers and Clifton Flowers. She worked at Nytronics and Fiber Industries. During her life, she always had a garden (until she was not able to care for one) which she loved to share with her family and neighbors. She loved going to the mountains on vacation and taking her grandchildren.

She has lived next to Pate Elementary School for many years and has seen four generations of her family attend this school. Many hours, she spent watching the children and teachers at recess. They were such a blessing to her.

She is survived by her daughter Margaret Crowley Gainey, grandchildren: Emily (Aaron) McInville, Terry (Erin) Crosby, Kim (Brad) Davis, Tim (Debbie) Crowley; great-grandchildren, Will, Emma, Corey (Shayla), Wyatt, Becca, Dallas, Austin (Rebecca), Bryson, Courtney, C.J., Dylan (Courtney), April, Riley, Emily; great-greatgrandchildren; Sa'riya, Nolan, Wyatt; sister: Alma Blackman, Annie barer, and Louise Brewer; and son-in-law, Oliver Crosby, Jr.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Crowley, Sr.; son, Hubert Crowley, Jr.; daughter, Jane Crowley Crosby; grandson, Brian Michael Crosby; sister, Wilma Lewis; and son-in-law, Gene Gainey.
