Margaret Streett Flowers

Margaret Sue Streett Flowers, age 90, died Monday, March 6, 2017 at the McLeod Hospice House. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Thursday, March 9th in Darlington Memory Gardens, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home on Wednesday evening. Margaret was born in Darlington County on January 18, 1927, daughter of the late Lawrence Grayson Streett and the late Mattie Leona Williamson Streett. She worked for Dixie Cup in Darlington for forty years and always enjoyed being with her family and working in her yards. Mrs. Flowers was a member of Southside Free Will Baptist Church and loved her church family very much. Surviving are her two daughters, Diane (Mike) Feaster of Darlington and Luann (Patrick) Holz of Fishers, IN, three grandchildren: Andrew "Andy" (Cindy) Casey, Carmyn Blayton and Alexander "Alex" Holz; four great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, a sister, Betty Warren of Darlington, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland Joseph Flowers, Jr., brothers: James, Grayson and William "Bill" Streett and sisters, Mary Atkinson and Leona Lee.
