Manuel Laurin Bryant

Manuel Laurin Bryant, age 85, passed away peacefully at his residence surrounded by family on Tuesday morning, December 12, 2023. A graveside service will take place on Thursday, December 14th at 3:00pm in Swift Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Manuel was born in Darlington County on June 14, 1938, he is the son of the late Manning F. Bryant and Alice McInville Bryant. Manuel worked with Dixie Cup in Darlington for 45 years up until his retirement. He was a very talented country musician and loved to be out in nature hunting and fishing in Black Creek.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Betty Brown Bryant, his children, Sarah (Jerry "Duck") Gainey of Darlington, Gloria Smith (Randy Atkinson) of Hartsville, Woodrow Tyner of Hartsville, and Joey Tyner of Darlington. Manuel is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Manuel is preceded in death by his son, James E. Tyner and his cousin and best friend, Larry Bryant.
