Malcolm E. Carr

Malcolm "Mickey" Edward Carr, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by his family. A visitation for Mr. Carr will be held on Friday, May 17th from the times of 5:00pm until 6:00pm at Belk Funeral Home.

Mickey was born in Crestview, Florida on November 29, 1936, he is the son of the late Eugene Carr and Vera Graham Carr. He joined the United States Air Force and served his country for 8 years, worked as a firefighter for Panama City Fire Department, and earned an Associates degree in Aircraft Maintenance before beginning work as an A&P Mechanic. Mickey enjoyed watching westerns and playing board games with his family, he was a dedicated family man and loved being a grandfather.

Surviving Mickey is his wife of 57 years, Patricia "Pat" Ann Carr, his children, Michael Edward Carr of Darlington, Melanie Stevens (Dean) of Elgin, his grandchildren, Breanna Stevens, Andrew Stevens, and Caleb Stevens, brother, Joseph (Beth) A. Carr of Lynn Haven, Florida, sister, Shirley Pelt, and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special family friends, Denise Nutter Raths and Saundra Carroway who were like daughters to Mr. Carr and his "grand dog", Holly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Viola Santillo and Carolyn Churchman.
