Lu Ann Sheffield Lee

July 14, 1935 — January 31, 2022

Lu Ann S. Lee, age 86 of Florence, South Carolina passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 from an illness. Born in Darlington, SC, she was the daughter of the late Street and Vera O. Sheffield. She was employed at Dixie Cup and James Rivers Corporation for 33 years. Lu Ann was preceded in death by her ex-husband and father of her children, Lonnie Clifton Dixon; and three siblings, Julia Moody, Roberta Lemons, and Eddie (Peggy) Sheffield.

Lu Ann is Survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Guyan Floyd "Junior" Lee; two daughters, Roxanne (Paul) Hardwick and Tammy Dixon; two grandchildren, Leslie (Matt) Campbell of Charlotte, NC and Chase Hardwick of Columbia, SC; two great-grandchildren, Lincoln Campbell and Rose Campbell. She is also survived by three step-children, Sheila (Wayne) Suggs, Toby (Debbie) Lee, and Abby (Barney) McFalls; three special nieces, Lola (Wayne) Norwood of Winter Park, Florida and her sister-in-law, Peggy Sheffield of Darlington.

Lu Ann enjoyed traveling, square dancing, going to the movies, shopping and dining out. She especially loved doing all these things with her beloved husband and the time they spent together with family.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service.
