Lizzie Huggins

Lizzie "Liz" Daye Dority Huggins, age 76, passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019. A memorial service will be held 3:00 p.m. Friday, October 11th at Lamar United Methodist Church, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Friday at the church, and other times at the home, 102 N. Railroad Ave. Lamar, SC 29069.

Born June 2, 1943, Lizzie is the daughter of the late Roy Dority and Ruth Spires Dority. She worked as a beautician, and owned and operated Economy Printing with her husband. She was a talented painter and enjoyed ceramic work and shopping. Lizzie was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her sons, Darian (Chanda) Huggins of Florence, Donnie Huggins of Lamar and Daniel "Danny" Huggins of Florence; grandchildren, Lee D. Huggins, Erin Huggins, Rachel Huggins and Megan Huggins; sister, Shirley Nutter, and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Huggins; and her siblings, Buddy, Janie and Ruby.
