Linda Melton Weatherford

Linda Melton Weatherford, age 74 died Saturday, May 21, 2022. A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 23rd at Mechanicsville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at Belk Funeral Home.

Born on August 17, 1947, Linda was the daughter of the late Mary Louise Melton. She was part-owner of Weatherford Country Corner Store where she was able to keep in touch with the people of Mechanicsville Community. She enjoyed sewing and loved spending time with her family. Linda was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church where she was involved in making quilts with the Peaceful Peace Makers Group.

Surviving are her husband, Billy J. Weatherford; daughter, Denise (Curtis) Boyd; son, Stacy (Tammie) Blackman, all of Darlington; daughter, Jenny (David) Colburn of West Virginia; grandchildren, Tyler , Spencer (Karli Margenthaler), Benjamin Boyd, Austin, Brittany Blackman, Erica (Jeremy) Peck, Kattie (Brandon) Stewart; two great-grandchildren; and good friend, Wanda Heatherly.
