Linda (Spivey) Marsh

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Spivey Marsh, who left us peacefully on August 1, 2025, at the age of 76. Born in Darlington, South Carolina, on February 27, 1949, Linda was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose warmth and creativity touched the lives of those around her.

A proud graduate of St. Johns High School, Class of 1967, Linda's journey through life was characterized by her passion for beauty and connection. For decades, she owned and operated Hair Designs by Linda D., where her artistry as a hairstylist brought joy and confidence to countless clients. Her gentle spirit and heartfelt laughter created a welcoming space for all who entered her salon, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of her clients and colleagues. When asked what she would like in her obituary, she replied with a smile, "Tell everyone I love them!"

Linda's love for crafting was evident in her beautiful wreaths, which she created with the same care and attention she gave to every aspect of her life. She took particular joy in making meaningful gifts for family and friends, and her creativity was a source of inspiration for everyone who knew her.

Linda is survived by her daughter, Wendy (Shane) Kaiser; her son, Travis (Chrystalyn) DuRant; her cherished grandchildren: Christian Crowley, Chapel Crowley, Faith DuRant, Rehden DuRant, Parker DuRant, and Riley Kaiser; and her stepdaughter Stephanie Galloway. She also leaves behind her  sister, Venita Jones; her nephews, Chad Jones, Brock Spivey, and Shannon Spivey; a niece, Crystal Yarborough and her sister-in-law, Judy Spivey.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 7th, at 4pm at Grove Hill Cemetery. After the service the family will receive visitors at the family home on 1621 E. Lydia Hwy in Hartsville at 5 to 7 pm.

Rest in peace, dear Linda. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
