Linda Knight Flowers

September 6, 1951 — February 3, 2025

Linda Knight Flowers, age 73, of Darlington, SC, passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. A visitation will be held at Belk Funeral Home on Friday, February 7th from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, with funeral services to follow at the Belk Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 PM.  A private family burial will take place at Grove Hill Cemetery.

Born on September 6, 1951, in Monroe, NC, Linda was the daughter of John C. Knight and Joyce Cato Knight. She was united in marriage to Arthur M. Flowers, with whom they had two children: Sandy and Neal.

As a child, Linda accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, and throughout her life her desire was to see others also come to a relationship with Jesus.  She instilled Christian values in her children and provided a strong foundation for their faith to grow. Over the years, she served as a Sunday School teacher, Missions Friends leader, and youth group leader. After her children grew up, Linda continued to faithfully serve the Lord as she led the children's ministries in her church.

Linda dedicated her career to serving the Darlington County School District, where she worked at Spring Elementary School and the District Office. She was also known in the community for her baking skills. Above all, Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother, always striving to instill Christian values and love in her family. Her deep affection for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was evident in all she did.

Linda is survived by her daughter Sandy (Lou) Bezjak and son Neal (Jessica) Flowers; grandchildren Haylee (Dylan) Barfield, Brent (Reagan) Johnson, Kolton Flowers, and Jaxon Flowers; great-grandchildren Larken Barfield and Langlee Barfield; and her brothers Johnny Knight, David Knight, and Bobby Knight. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Arthur, and her brother Bill Knight.

The family would like to express their gratitude to nurses Victoria, Tiffany, and Howard, aid Nijia and social workers Sharon and Carey, all of Gentiva Hospice, for their compassionate care during the past four years.

Linda will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and service to others will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.
