Leisha Elaine Carter, age 45, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2017. Graveside services will be Tuesday 4:00 p.m. in Swift Creek Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Leisha was born in Florence County, daughter of Roy Carter and the late Martha Howle Courtney. She was the granddaughter of the late William H. "Bill" and Virginia F. Howle, who raised her. She was a hairdresser and enjoyed her friends, family and watching NASCAR. Leisha grew up in the Swift Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to her father and stepmother, Gail Carter of Darlington; two brothers: Lee (Heidi) Carter and Eddie "Peanut" Carter (Taylor Eslinger) also of Darlington; one sister, Laci (Wayne) Hanna of Florence ; also her nephews: Ladson Carter, Logan Carter, Cole Hanna and Caleb Hanna.
