Laura (Ward) Weatherford

Laura Ward Weatherford, age 69, passed away Monday, January 18, 2021.The family will receive friends Friday, January 22nd from 3-5 p.m. at Belk Funeral Home.

Born on July 24, 1951, Laura was the daughter of the late Clyde L. Ward Sr. and Elizabeth Edens Ward. She worked as a telephone operator for 25 years, and then worked for Washington Mutual. She would later work at Krispy Kreme, and then the last two years at Walmart in Hartsville. Laura loved her grandchildren, spending time with them and taking them to the movies.

Surviving are her son, Jami Weatherford; two grandchildren, Austin Cole Weatherford and Cheyenne Nicole Weatherford; brother, Clyde L. "C.L." "Frog" Ward, Jr. Also surviving are her step-brothers, Richard and Johnny Bell; step-sister, Debra Culpeper; niece, Vonda Turner; nephew, Corey Ward, and many step-nieces and nephews.
