Larry D. Young

Larry D. Young, age 57 passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2016. A visitation will be held from 2-3pm Sunday, April 17th in the Lamar chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with a graveside service following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Lamar, SC. Born October 3, 1958 in Florence, Larry is the son of the late Mary Bell Young and Louis M. Young, Jr. He worked for Asbestos Removal Services, and he loved the beauty of flowers and enjoyed working in the yard. Larry loved everyone and was always known for having such a kind and giving heart. Surviving are his sister, Janice (Todd) Martin of Florence; his brother, Michael Young of Lamar; his nephews, Vance Kelly of New York, Daniel Young, Brandon Cox, Graham Martin, and his niece, Maryalice Young, all of Florence; his great-nephew, Levi and his great-niece, Demi; and his sister-in-law, Lynn Young. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Young. The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses at McLeod Hospital, Florence Dialysis Center, and Carolina Pines for their love and care for Larry.
