Larry Cephas Odom, 74, of Hartsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 26th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 28th, 1950, in Darlington, South Carolina, Larry was the son of Cephas Homer Odom and Mary Frances Lunn Odom.
Larry was a devoted husband to Kay Andrews Odom, the love of his life, for 56 years. Together, they raised two children, Kevin and Tamara, and built a life filled with love and cherished memories.
In his early years, Larry proudly served in the Navy, a testament to his dedication to his country and community. His commitment to service, both in uniform and in life, left a lasting impact on those who knew him.
Larry was a successful entrepreneur, owning and operating his own tire company in Darlington for many years. He also enjoyed doing theater, making home videos with family and coming up with crazy wild adventures out on the country roads.
Larry's family and friends will remember him as a kind, hardworking man with a joyous spirit and a generous heart. He was known for his unwavering love for his family.
Larry leaves behind his beloved wife, Kay, his children, Kevin Odom and Tamara Odom, his grandchildren, Hunter, Travis, and Alyssa Odom, his siblings, Carol (Rex) Sigmon and Mary Davis, as well as his in-laws, Terry Chapman, Wayne Cowick, and Polly Hubbard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cephas and Francis Odom, his brother, Freddie Chapman, and his sisters, Ann Cowick and Cindy Odom.
