Larry G. Davis

Larry G. Davis, age 74, passed away Monday, May 4, 2020. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7th in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Darlington Memory Gardens. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and seating for the service may be limited. The service will be streamed live on our website for your convenience. Anyone who wishes to pay their respects to Larry may do so Wednesday between 1-5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born January 15, 1946, Larry is the son of the late Dewey G. Davis and Cora Geraldean Hughes Davis. He served in the Army National Guard, and then worked in construction. Larry was a longtime member of the Darlington Moose Lodge where he held many offices. He enjoyed fishing, watching NASCAR and boxing. Larry attended Faith Free Will Baptist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Karen Davis Nealey; son, Travis (Tammy) Dean Davis, both of Darlington; grandchildren, Brian (Candice) Nealey, Katie (Blake) Odom, Lauren (Norman) Nealey, Joshua (Leslie) Davis, Jonathan (Betsy) Davis, Jeremy (Morgan) Davis; 11 great-grandchildren; sisters, Bobbie Moore, Jean Guthrie, and Carolyn Lee.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann M. Davis, who died in 2019; and a son, Tracy Davis.
