Kent Britt

Steven Kent Britt, age 64 died Monday, September 20, 2021. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 23rd in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home with burial following at Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Born on October 24, 1956, Kent was the son of the late Edward Britt and Mary Harrington Britt. He worked for Charlie Hunt as a mechanic for over 20 years and then at Dixie Cup for ten years before retiring. Kent loved cars and was a gifted mechanic. He enjoyed spending time with his wife working in the yards and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered by his daughters as a loving father who was always there to help.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Janice Boan Britt; two daughters, Brandi (Ernie) Lloyd and Megan (Justin) Meekins; grandchildren, Jacob, Bryson, Jackson and Kenzie; two sisters, Joann (Fred) Millen and Teresa (Charlie) Amerson; his brother, Eddie Britt; and his feline friend, Bella.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Knotts.
