Kenneth Lee Watford, age 75, passed away on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at McLeod Hospice House. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 16th in Belk Funeral Home from the times of 11:00am until 12:00pm. A funeral service will take place in the chapel of Belk Funeral at 12:00pm, with interment immediately following the service in Florence Memory Gardens.
Kenneth was born in Darlington on December 18, 1948, he is the son of the late Jessie Lee Watford and Dorothy Donella Gainey Watford. Ken worked as an electrician and truck driver, he also enjoyed woodworking in his free time. He lived in Kentucky for many years before moving back to Darlington later in life. Ken was truly a man of faith; he taught Sunday School for many years.
Surviving Ken is his daughter, Rhonda McLaughlin, siblings, Mae (Robert "Bobby") Lee, Linwood (Joanne) Watford and Jessie (Ada) Watford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and his extended family members, Douglas (Joyce) Munn, Natline (Jimmy) Bennett, Paul Munn, Mark Munn, and Angela Johnson (Garland).
In addition to his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his wife, Joleen Grooms Watford, his brothers, Bobby Watford and Donald Watford, and his family member, Robin Alexander.
