Linda Katherine “Kathy” Boyd Norris, 73, died on June 28, 2026 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1st, 2026 at 4:00 pm in the Belk Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Darlington Memory Gardens The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Kathy was born March 10, 1953, in Washington, NC, to the late James Henry Jr. and Betty Pearl Rogers Boyd. Kathy was a family-oriented lady, always putting them first. Kathy graduated as salutatorian from St. John's High School and went on to study at Bob Jones University. She and her husband ran a family business, Norris Mobile Home Sales, and when she wasn’t working at the business, she was devoted to taking care of her family. In her free time, she enjoyed tending her flowers and loved to travel. She led by example, living a clean, wholesome life.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years; Cecil Wayne Norris, who describes her as the “best human being ever”; her children; Pressley (Denise) Norris, Andy Norris, Christy (Edmund) Nettles, Chuck (Ashley) Norris, grandchildren; Gadge Norris, Brad Norris,  Dylan Stanley, Sabrina (Josh) Drotar, Wyatt Nettles, Beaux Norris, Pepper Norris, and a great grandchild; Ayce Norris. Also surviving are her siblings: Patricia (Tony) Tilley of Reform, AL, Wanda (Ronnie) Eason of Gastonia, NC and Curtis (Denise) Boyd of Darlington, SC.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents James and Betty Boyd.
