Karen Mutter Holt

Karen Mutter Holt, age 56, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in McLeod Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 16, 2018 in the chapel at Belk Funeral Home, with burial following in Grove Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home, 1225 Oak Commons Dr., Darlington. Born in Richlands, VA on April 5, 1962, she is the daughter of Roy Mutter and the late Nancy Buskill Mutter. She graduated from Giles High School in Pearisburg, VA. Karen worked as a Help Desk Assistant for the Darlington County School District. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch, and spending time at the beach, but her true passion was her children and grandchildren. Surviving along with her father, Roy (Charlotte) Mutter, is her son, Chad (Monica) Holt of Florence, her daughter, Logan (Garth Bonnoitt) Holt, her two grandchildren, Haleigh and Reese Holt, and her sister, Mindy Mutter of Pearisburg, VA. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a sister, Holly Rene' Mutter.
