Joseph C Anderson

Joseph Cleveland Anderson, age 91, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2024 at his residence. A visitation will be held from 11:30am until 12:30pm on Friday, April 12th in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place in Anderson Cemetery at 1:00pm following the visitation.

Joseph was born in Darlington on January 1, 1933, he is the son of the late Earnest Anderson and Emma (King) Anderson. Mr. Anderson went on to join the United States Army and served two tours in Vietnam, later he joined the Masons while in the service. He was an involved Mason for over 54 years and served in many lodges over the years.

Surviving Joseph are his children: Gerald "Jerry" Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson, Cynthia Kirby, Janet (Jim) Crossland, Midge (Joe) Maybin, and Alice Polston. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and a special cousin, Jan Euten, who was always there when the family needed her.

In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Hatchell Anderson, son, Joseph Stanley "Stan" Anderson, grandson, Cole Anderson and his great-grandchild, Bryan Luke Kirby.
