Jonna Michelle Huggins

Jonna Michelle Huggins, age 28, was called by Jesus to sit in His lap Tuesday, April 23, 2019. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, April 27th at Mechanicsville Baptist Church (old building) with burial following at the church cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 pm at Mechanicsville Baptist Church (new building). Jonna was born in Florence County, on July 22, 1990, the daughter of Mitch and Barbara Huggins. She was a member of Mechanicsville Baptist Church, where she loved to attend Sunday School and singing. She enjoyed Darlington Falcon Baseball where many baseball players and parents became life long friends. She loved the beach and family vacations with her Nana, Papa, Aunts, Uncles, and beloved cousins. Jonna loved being outdoors, taking walks, riding her pink bicycle, swimming in the pool, visiting the goats, and especially hunting with her daddy. She loved telling everyone she met that Jesus lived in her heart and that he loved her. Jonna was never shy to ask anyone if they knew Jesus and did He live in their heart? She was a great witness singing and sharing Jesus love with everyone. In addition to her parents of Mechanicsville, she is survived by her brother, Bryant (Cortney Turner); maternal grandmother, Joann J. Bryant; paternal grandmother, Peggy M. Huggins; aunts and uncles, Jimmy (Rene) Bryant of Mechanicsville, Laurie (Lin) Keesey of Lexington, Joe Bryant, Karla (Kurt) Sullivan, all of Mechanicsville, and Janet Frederick of Beaufort; cousins, Laurin (Ian) Headley, Janici (P.J.) Cannon, Joshua (Elizabeth) Keesey, Carol Anne (Kyle) Taylor, Frannie (Drew) Clark, John Eric (Morgan) Sullivan, Charlie Bryant, Landon Bryant, Emilye Bryant, Lawson Bryant; and special caregivers, Latosha Redden and Alex Poole. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Roy Bryant; paternal grandfather, Alton Huggins; uncles, Paul Frederick and Eric Sullivan.
