Johnny Ray Boan

Johnny Ray Boan, age 66, died Saturday, August 28, 2021. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Belk Funeral Home at 6:00 on Tuesday, August 31st , with a visitation being held one hour prior, from 5:00 until 6:00, and other times at his sister's home, 809 North Main Street.  Everyone is encouraged to be safe and wear a mask if visiting at the home or attending the service/vistation at the funeral home.

Johnny was born in Florence on March 27, 1955, son of the late Johnny Emerson  Boan and the late Jackie Galloway Boan. He worked in the auto body repair business most of his life. Johnny loved people, and was always the "life of the party", cutting up, telling jokes, or just doing whatever to keep people laughing and entertained. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Surviving is his son, Johnny Ray Boan, Jr., his granddaughter, Aubrey Boan,  brother, Jimmy Boan , sister, Janice (Kent) Britt, and special nieces, Brandi Lloyd and Megan Meekins.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Benoit.
