Jessie Ann Tobias

Jessie Ann Weatherford Tobias, age 82, passed away Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at Cottonwoods Villa in Bishopville. Graveside services will be 2:00pm Sunday at Swift Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Saturday at Belk Funeral Home. Mrs. Tobias was born January 1, 1934, the daughter of the late Louie and Albertha Tiller Weatherford and was married to the late David E. Tobias. She worked twenty eight years in the meat department of Piggly Wiggly along with her daughter. She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and attended First Church of God. Surviving are her son, Eddie (Patricia Stevens) Tobias and daughter, Cheryl Tobias; all of Darlington; many nieces, nephews and a very special cat, Missy. She was preceded in death by her brothers: Allen, Louie, Howard, Bill and Carrigan Weatherford and sisters: Almenia Folendore and Ida Player. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Cottonwood Villa for their care for Mrs. Tobias.
